Ahhhh....it's finally summer vacation! Well, kind of. Aside from the Class III patient I have to finish in the morning (SATURDAY morning; I guess I'll have to wait 'til Sunday to sleep in), and the light dusting of snow we had yesterday, I'd say I'm off to a cushy start. I only worked three days this week, and without five days of class, I spent the whole week thinking it was Friday -- mahvelous!
One of my favorite things about summer is working on a "Sunday Project" every week. Whether it be a birthday gift or an Anthropologie knock-off ("Rachelpology," Andrea calls it), I love to wind down with some homemade project. Last week I finished this skirt. The colors don't show up the best because I took the picture with my cell phone (REALLY gotta get a digital camera!) -- it's kind of a turquoise color with dark brown grosgrain ribbon. I'm really excited, because I used to have a skirt just like it...but, you know how marriage can cause spontaneous waistband expansion, and I gave that skirt to my best friend, Lacey. Fortunately, I had enough fabric left over to make another. This time I made it easily adjustable...hopefully I'll be adjusting it down, though, and not up!
